Space! ARGH!

Actually, that should be 'lack of space, ARGH!', but ...

 

Actually, I have /a/ space sort of plotted. But it's not big enough, so. Priorities.

Bellona and Orkos still need their warpaint, so 'priorities' are probably going to be painting. That's fine - I've got a mini (wargaming minature) that needs work too.

 

I also found, somewhat on accident that V01ks (bleh!) has 27cm ... 'Elementals'. They don't sell clothes or anything for that body-type, but ... hrm. I don't generally think much of V01ks sculpts (or pricing), but this is tempting. They have other stuff that is heavily tempting (I'm suddenly /very/ glad I don't have a local source - I'd be in trouble).

Yup, still on the Project. And if I liked Obitsu's take on that body-type, I'd try theirs. But they're no cheaper, albeit the shipping might be less, getting 'em from Emory.

Should probably say 'still' - but I've been busy.

I got the crowd unpacked and settled safely, and have been kind of tearing my hair, trying to figure out where I can set up a workspace so I can make stuff. New apartment is small. :/

So, of course, I turn around and get smacked by a couple more tinies. *facepalm*

Avalanche!

Which is a overstatement, in a way - but Emory tends to pack all kinds of nifty (strange?) extras when he ships stuff. So, Tavra (BBB Yao, normal skintone) shows up, and ... yah, box. I open said box, and the first thing to greet me, naturally, is peanuts. Second thing, is a bag full of .... what? Ah! Restring kit, pants and ... candy? Set this aside. Next thing is a notepad. Graph paper. Ooo! Mapping toy! Sweet!  ... next thing is .... brains?! wtf? ... oh. Heh. Moar Kandi. Heh, heh, heh. Ah! Doll bag... no .. whut? Monkey, .. more candy! Ooh, pocky! ...  Ahah! Dollbox! Y, halo thar ....oh, hey. Another hat. Hm. That might fit Pjotr... Oh, hey! Tattoos .. hm. Wonder if I can transfer that pattern cleanly ...

Opening a box from Emory is a lot like that, only one should remember that the camera is picked up and frequently utilised in between all the internal commentary. So!

Tavra. Tavra has a small head, for a 43cm girl, and I'll need to get her a wig in the next size down. She's determined, for reasons I'm afraid to ask about, that her hair is pink.... well, sure. Okay. She wears 16mm eyes (came with brown. I may give them to Mina), and I ended up swapping them out for blue ones. I might try her on the pink glass .. *ducks shoe* ... okay, maybe not. *eyes wall behind* ... okay, The others can throw shoes, Tav - you, however, cannot!

Tavra: *smirks* I could throw infernal fireballs, if you'd rather?

 .... Borrow someone else's boots, kid.

Clothes are going to be a pain - pants need to be loose, or they won't go past the hoofies - so she's teasing Arraman in one of Anasi's rarely-worn skirts right now. *cough*

 

I need to paint her hooves and horns, and do a little work on her fetlocks. I like the legs - but I am /definitely/ going to have to re-string her when I do all that. The usual BBB elastic thing. :/

Incoming..!

Fortunately, the monitor is kind of between me and the sap - but Mina is here, finally. Iplehouse does /not/ kid around with their packing, although I had a minor freakout moment when I got into the Giant Box and discovered the only slightly less giant box was ... packed.. loose. Eek!

But no, all was well. Mina came with extra elastic and S-hooks, and high-heel feet (in addition to her 'flat' feet), and her default eyes are close enough (she's pretty sure her eyes are darker than that, so I need to find a good dark chocolate brown ...) to be okay for now. She /also/ came with assembly instructions and a shiny flyer. Wow! Almost makes me wish I'd been able to get a fullset. Another day, maybe .....

 

 

So, a couple of days before she comes in, Emory posts an update. He's got a new shipment in. Including a 43cm hoof'd and horn'd girl. omg. And OMG. And some more ... also, dangit, Emory! Shameless! Shameless, I tell you!

 .... so, Tavra is on her way. Bobobie is kind of evil too - I wanted a look at their digitigrade (Plantigrade?) legs anyway. And 43 .. or 42cm, depending ... this is a good size. Arraman will be thrilled. Finally, that harem he's always dream- *ducks thrown boot* .... I was KIDDING!

 ... I don't think he believes me. Great. I'm going to be checking my tea for poison for a week after this.

 

Fortunately, I dug out the sewing machine, and the stuff I need. I'm still working out how, exactly, to organise the ironing board, and whether I /need/ background noise, or ... well, no. I need background noise. But there's fabric stored ... everywhere, really, and I need to be thinking about that. :/

Patterns at least, are more localised.

And, I'm in mid-build of a couch. Or a small loveseat. OR .. .. well. We'll see. I haven't exactly taken, y'know, measurements. I just eyeballed it, like usual. >.>

Gak! Yay Holidays?

Okay. So. Lemme see here... The MoC box showed. I have box-pictures that I need to post - and Tsanu Lorne and Nizana are safe and sound. At the moment, they're all parked in Anasi's lap with Lieve - and I'm not sure if I should rescue Anasi or not.

Anasi: Nah, I'm /fine/. I'm a little worried about Iri, though...

*snickering from behind her*

Annnd... yah, Pjotr is being a bad wolf. Not like that's news ...

 

The Obitsu Project also showed - on the same day, even! So, I have my project pair, and Pjotr's sidearm (which arrived in parts. I very carefully assembled it .. them, technically, and now I just need to find him a pair of jointed hands). In the meantime, I have YET ANOTHER Free Range Head - this is the Event Head of umptyhoweverlongago it was that DZ was doing that event. It's Mo - Mo-wan, in 1/3 scale. I showed it to the Geek, and he looked at it and said, 'Takashi'. So .. now it just needs a body. On the flipside, DZ normal yellow is a fairly good match for Iri. So maybe I'll get her a DZ body. >.>

I need to find/make clothes for the Obitsu pair - well, the girl is clothed, like I said, I still have some clothes, although they're a bit big for her. Loose in the chest. However, loose in the chest or not, she's clothed. Her male counterpart is running around in his underwear - although he figures he's fine - he just wants to know what I did with his cooling vest. *facedesk*

I have bodies, heads and other assorted bits on the way. I may or may not bother to face them (probably will. Practice = good), and ... maybe, if I'm /really/ on the ball, I'll have something other than the dollclothes my late Nanny made for them to wear while I'm translating 'female' patterns to 'male' patterns. *cough*

I figure that will all (with my luck!) arrive on the same day. It /would/ figure, yanno?

 ... Of all the things I regret in this life, I mostly regret that I didn't pay more attention to Nanny while she was around. She made dollclothes - barbie-sized - and had a few dolls. I have /no/ idea what happened to them, of course. But I still have some of the clothes she knitted for them. And yes, knitted. She made some lovely things, and she tried to teach me how to make them, but ... heh. I was a busy brat, and I never quite 'got it'. :/

I occasionally wonder what she would have thought about my dolls, and I'd like to think she would have been happy - although I honestly never figured out whether she just collected, or there was more to it than that. Ah, hindsight.

 

 ... I /think/ my dragonbaby has finally offered her name. I won't be sure until she actually gets here, and I can look at her, but ... I think she has. And Hanaki, I swear, if you /are/ wishing your brood on me, we're gonna have words!

 .... no dragon should be capable of 'innocent'. Let alone YOU. Anyway. We'll see if Tsanu is her, or the little foxken..

Down to the wire

Yup. Getting on that time. I expect an email from MoC about the last payment any day now. >.>

And ... yah. Antsy. REAL antsy. 'Cause then .. what, a week? Two? Not that either dragon-child or foxken have informed me as to their names. *sigh* But dragon-child's mane is ordered, and, since Audrey was havin' a sale, I succumbed to a couple of spares. One for Sorbha (I WILL get one that works), and one for the Obitsu Project. .. that I haven't started yet. >.>

 

So. I did re-face Iri, finally. The light's been crappy for pictures, but I may just take her out and photograph her on the balcony. It's ... not /quite/ what I had in mind, but it's closer. And I'm getting better at attaching eyelashes. ^^

 

Someone might be asking 'wtf is an Obitsu project' ... Or not, but whatever. The Obitsu project is basically an excuse to get a couple of 1/6th size dolls to experiment/play with. One 'male', one 'female'. Probably they will be clothed and posed on my desk, but we'll see. >.>

The 'experiment' comes in with the stuff I was planning to sew for them (let's not get into my sanity. What sanity?) - fitting and creating 'blank' outfits for people to customise, and posting pics of my own customisations.

Aaaie! Four weeks!

Moving house was successful, but I'm /still/ doing all that 'where should I put..?' stuff. Setting up areas, figuring out where things go - you know.

The Peanut Gallery has, however, finally escaped their suitcase (Sorbha: Damn straight. You have any idea how STUFFY it is in there?).But they're out, and I'm  ... well. Kind of figuring out where they hang out, where their stuff is .. and I found Anasi and Arraman a chair. I have to paint it, once I get it away from Lieve ...

Lieve: ... isn't comfy. You can have it back.

 ... *sigh* You know, kid, if you'd wait for me to clean it up, and put a cushion on it, instead of throwing a towel over it and calling it a day, it might be more comfortable?

Lieve: You din' say you were gonna clean it up an' put cushums on it! Pink?!

 ... maybe pink cushions. MAYBE. It's not your chair, though. *ignores Huge Sigh and Pouting* I should take pictures. She's /still/ a damn cute little monster. A cute little monster with a new dress incoming. *covers ears to save hearing from high-pitched demon-girl squeals of glee* .. owh..

 

Anyway. Four weeks - my estimate, not MoC's. Last payment on the 14th of Nov., and presumably, it'll ship out the moment they have that confirmed. And .. a week? Mebbe two? until it all gets to me.*squeeeee*  ... I got some dust to add to paint or wet media (any media?) and .. I'm going to paint my little dragon girl in red and gold. Mebbe with hints of blue .. dude. Hanaki, you over-bearing red bastard! Did you wish one of your brats on me?!

Hanaki: *smirk*

 ... goddamn dragons. Anyway. What was I ..? Oh, right. Red and gold. She's white-skinned, so predominantly gold. I'm /really/ looking forward to this.

My little Figaro - also white-skinned, is ..um. *cough*fullset*cough*, so no worries about faceups or ever clothes when he gets here. He's keeping quiet, so I don't know who he is yet, but .. I just realised. All my tinies.. not one of them is human. Oops?

 

Sorbha: So, Mina? You /were/ going to find her for us?

Oh for .. patience, damnit. I still have to dig out the sewing machine and sew clothes for you and Pjotr! Tcha. That is, however, on the list - I stumbled over a Dragondoll sculpt that would be perfect for Mina. Eventually.

 .. I'm also eying Souldoll's Chiron, as Meranthar. Eventually. Eheh.

I should probably get bodies for all my floating heads first though. I have the Protegas, and ... I have a 1/3 size Mo head coming that I have no idea what to do with. Maybe Iri needs a harem....

Moving!!!

Moving house, moving blog ... Moving, in general terms.

So far, moving from V0x to Typ3P@d has been far easier and less stressful than actual moving - at least, so far.

Current news ... um .. well. I haven't got around to most of the stuff I was planning on doing, 'cause mein Mann got himself a Job, and the schedules got flipped all over the place, and my brains took a header out the window, apparently ... no, I don't understand how that could have happened, but anyway, my spare time wandered off.

HOWEVER! Layaway is a wonderful, yet horrible thing. Payment #3 is in the works, and .. and ... *squee* DollZone sent a 'we're getting ready to ship soon' notice to MoC and .. *squeeeee* *yoingyoingyoing*

Alright, so, I've been busy/quiet - but. Eheh.

Okay, so. Current doll To-Do list. Scrub and re-face Iri. I got her some white eye-lashes and. .. well, we'll see if I can get it right this time. ^^;
Dig out the machine, finish up things like Pjotr's uniform (he's got pants, but they're too sloppy, so I'mma have to start over there), and rebuild Sorbha's combat panties, and make her a coverall out of the nifty fabric I got for the purpose. What?

And. Um. Tomorrow? It is my birthday? And ... And .. and my Geek said I could get the DZ event doll. The little dragon girl! *SQUEEEEEEE!* *squeeeeee!* *bouncebouncebouncebouncebouncecrash* ... ehehehe...
 ... so, I ordered lots of clothes. I .. um... also might have got Figaro. >.> <.< But, definitely clothes! For almost everybody. I have a feeling there will be a lot of trading back and forth on arrival...
